1961   - Incorporation of National Organic Chemical Industries Limited (NOCIL).
 
1964   - Incorporation of Polyolefins Industries Limited (PIL).
 
1968   - Commencement of production of petrochemicals at NOCIL in technical collaboration with the Royal Dutch Shell Group.
 
1968   - Commencement of production of polymers at PIL in technical collaboration with Farbwerke Hoechst AG, West Germany.
 
1973   - Monsanto Chemicals, USA sets up MINDIA Chemicals Limited for manufacture of rubber chemicals at TTC Industrial Area, Navi Mumbai.
 
1976   - MINDIA commences production of rubber chemicals.
 
1981   - Amalgamation of MINDIA Chemicals Limited with PIL as Rubber Chemicals Division (RCD) of PIL.
 
1988   - PIL-RCD becomes market leader in India.
 
1990   - PIL-RCD commences its export operations.
 
1993   - Amalgamation of PIL with NOCIL for synergy of operations.  NOCIL becomes an Indian company under Arvind Mafatlal Group (AMG) upon withdrawal of Shell from NOCIL and Hoechst from PIL.  Rubber Chemicals Business operates as NOCIL-RCD.
 
1995   - NOCIL-RCD consolidates its position as an important supplier of rubber chemicals in the global market.
 
2002   - NOCIL decides to close down its Petrochemicals Division due to uneconomical and unviable operations on account of its sub-optimal capacity.
 
2005   - Scheme of Arrangement for the demerger of certain assets and liabilities of the Petrochemicals Division and of the Plastic Products Division and vesting of the same in two separate legal entities of the Reliance Group was approved by the Bombay High Court.
 
2005   - NOCIL operates as a stand alone and independent, profit making rubber chemicals business.
